Variable Bench Power Supply MK2

So, it's been a while and I've finally gotten around to getting some work done to this project. I am using same enclosure as the DIY Bench top Power Supply I made up a few years ago. |

So I've used the same case as the DIY Bench Power Supply that I made last year. Mainly because I will be using it to supply power to this new power supply via the rear dual binding post outlet. I will make up a short lead to connect the two supplies together. |

The heatsink for the 60 watt boost converter fits neatly on the back with the PCB mounted on the inside of the case. | ![]() |
The front side of the boost converter with the top right hand corner nipped off to access the mounting screw. Aside from this small mod the PCB fits in nicely. I have the output of the boost converter set to 32.5 volts. This gives me up to 1.8 amps to play with, which is plenty for most applications. If I need more power I can use my GOOD WILL INSTRUMENT CO., LTD. Dual Tracking power supply. |

And the finished product. I didn't mount a power switch as I didn't have enough room for it. And as it's powered from any 12 volt dc power source or the DIY power supply below it when it on the bench which has a power button, I didn't think it was that important. |
